Aith public event change of date
Due to the bad forecast for Thursday, we have scheduled the Aith event for Monday 16th November. Times remain the same 4 - 8pm. We hope this does not cause any inconvenience. We will be at Clickimin on Saturday 14th ad Sunday 15th November if the Monday is not convenient.
Events update
We are at the Sandwick Social club Monday until 9pm then at Olaberry hall Tuesday, Voe hall Wednesday and Aith hall Rankin Lounge on Thursday. Olaberry, Voe and Aith are all 4-8pm. Why not come along and see how you could support a great community project and benefit from tax relief of up to 50% !

Share Offer Invitation
The Fetlar Wind Share invitation will officially go live on the website at 8pm on Friday 23rd of October to coordinate with a launch event at Fetlar hall.
DECC Consultation On FiT
DECC(Department of Energy and climate Change) published a consultation on a review of the FiT (Feed in Tariff) Scheme on 27th August. Significant changes may be made to the FiT.
Fetlar Wind Gains Planning Permission
Fetlar Wind has today been granted planning permission for 2x25w turbines. These are new upgraded versions of the 20kw turbines we had initially got planning for.

#6 Turbines now commissioned
The turbines are now commissioned. We received our MCS certificates and applied for the Feed in Tariff last week prior to the deadline. The turbines have begun producing power at a limited rate. This will be increased as the local energy use scheme is gradually brought into service, tested and balanced with the turbines production and all safety checks are complete. We will be ramping up production as soon as we can. This is an innovative scheme and we expected a few issues to arise but our very capable technicians are getting them all steadily sorted.
